    Variant inventory pricing

I have enabled variant inventory and believe I have set it up properly, however the pricing does not change when you select a different size.  When I tried to set up pricing on the pricing page there did not appear to be a way to set it by size...which is how my variant inventory is set up.

Additionally...since I am setting up my variant inventory based upon size, should I remove the pricing on the general page?  It is currently set as the 2oz pricing level.

    Re: Variant inventory pricing

    Brian,

Keep the base price, that will show on the Category lists and other pages where the variant selections are not visible.

Variant Inventory pricing must be configured on the Pricing tab and set as a flat price for each variant combination.  Pricing on the Variant tab no longer applies when you choose to enable Variant Inventory.

    Re: Variant inventory pricing

I understand...however, when I have my variant inventory set up as Sampler (1 oz), 2oz, 4oz and 8oz and these variant combination are nowhere on the pricing setup screen.  The only option available under th Variant Inventory column is -999 or ALL.  I don't see where I can select my variant combinations.

If you could walk me through one (via explanation) I hope I can figure out the rest.

Did you get this working?  Once you enable variant inventory, ensure the valid combinations are checked off on the variant inventory screen, these are the actives ones (there is a list of all combos and their item id with a checkbox next to them, you may need to save and refresh first).  Once you select the ones that are supported the pricing tab will show all the options in it's dropdown for you to give specific prices to.

I have not.  I need to know if there is a way to implement changes to the store - store wide - without disrupting the site until all changes are done?  I started to do it and suddenly all the images were thrown off and the site looked horrible.

    Re: Variant inventory pricing

Maybe you can instead do it on a test product instead of a live product.  Clone the product you would like to setup and try it on that one maybe?  That would not affect your customers.

Only the theme and store text have staging areas where you can not affect live customers, other settings happen once you hit save.

Brian or Ed--how did you fix your problem?  I am now having the same issue.  I see on your site that it's working correctly but I can't figure out what I'm missing to make the variant pricing work properly.

My product pages show the correct price, but when I click "update price" it does not update.  Nor does it carry the correct price into the shopping cart.
