I am wondering what the Order Comments section is for in the Order Information area?  Can the customer view this information or is this just an order management tool for the store staff?

The original Order Comments are for internal purposes only and are not viewable by the customer; however, with the latest code version the system has been extended to include two additional fields, Public Order Comments and Order Instruction.

Public Order Comments - These can be viewed and edited by both the customer and the site administrator.

Order Instructions - These are viewable by the customer but can only be edited by the site administrator. Their primaly purpose is to notify the customer of changes that have taken place between order placement and order fulfillment.

Is this public order comments and order instructions something that exists now or is this something in the works?  I looked around for this but did not see anything that said publie order comments or Order Instructions.  Thanks
